GUNUNG BEREMBUN

The trail to Gunung Berembun passes several places of interest like the Lata Berembun area great for a swim and a picnic, and Gua Kambing which isn't really a cave but a rock outcropping with some shelter underneath.

The summit of Gunung Berembun is nothing special. There isn't a view or a look out point. So do not do this mountain if a view if what you are looking for as you will not get one. To get a view, you would have to go past Gunung Berembun for another 30 minutes flat ridge walking for a lovely view of sunset and the Temiang-Pantai road in the distance. Great spot for a picnic or to camp

Beyond that point for a short distance you will get to the crashed WW2 Liberator class plane. KL654 (more on that on its own page)

We would not recommend Gunung Berembun trail as a vantage point destination. It is better as a training mountain or a means to get to the KL654 crash site.

TREKKING PATH

  1. The path to Gunung Berembun passes Lata Berembun (in separate page) and Gua Kambing.
  2. The trail to Lata Berembun and Gua Kambing is on a very gradual incline crossing some rivers and creeks and is not challenging. After Gua Kambing the ascent to Gunung Berembun is steep for a short distance with rope assist. It is muddy and slippery when wet. Good foot wear required for the ascent
